1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By accessing, browsing, or using LocalDoc (localdoc.org, referred to as "the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Platform.

You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age or possess legal parental or guardian consent to use this Platform, and are fully competent to enter into the terms, conditions, obligations, and representations set forth herein.

2. Client-Side Architecture & Data Sovereignty

LocalDoc operates on a decentralized, client-side execution framework powered by WebAssembly (Wasm), JavaScript, and HTML5 Canvas. When you use tools such as PDF compression, merging, editing, biometric photo creation, OCR scanning, or scientific calculations:

• All document data remains entirely inside your device's volatile memory (RAM).
• Zero bytes of file payload or document contents are transmitted to remote servers.
• LocalDoc acquires zero intellectual property rights, licenses, possession, or control over your files, documents, images, or numerical models.

3. Platform Intellectual Property & Permitted Use

The Platform's underlying software, visual branding, logos, icons, interface designs, compiled WebAssembly binaries, documentation, master guides, and interactive tools are the exclusive property of LocalDoc and its founder, protected under international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

We grant you a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, worldwide license to access and use the Platform for personal, educational, scientific, legal, and commercial document processing strictly in compliance with these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use Policy & Prohibited Conduct

To preserve platform integrity and user security, you agree that you will not:

• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the stability of our delivery networks, service workers, or CDN infrastructure through Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, brute-force requests, or automated scraping scripts that exceed normal human browsing bandwidth.
• Use the Platform to process or compile unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or fraudulent documents, or files designed to deliver malicious code, worms, or trojans.
• Attempt to re-host, frame, or republish the Platform as a paid service under misleading branding without express written authorization.
• Circumvent or tamper with security headers, content security policies (CSP), or client-side integrity measures.

5. DMCA & Copyright Non-Hosting Clarification

Because LocalDoc is an fully offline environments, zero-upload platform that operates entirely on the client side, we do not host, store, replicate, or transmit user-generated content or copyright-protected documents on our servers. Consequently, LocalDoc does not maintain a server repository of user documents that can be removed under Title II of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) (17 U.S.C. § 512).

If you believe that any technical tutorial, documentation guide, or static graphic hosted on our website infringes upon your copyright, please contact our legal representative at legal@localdoc.org with a formal notice containing: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) the URL of the allegedly infringing material, and (c) your verifiable contact information.

6. No Legal, Financial, or Engineering Certification Advice

While our technical master guides and scientific calculators are engineered to rigorous standards (including ISO 32000 PDF specifications, ICAO 9303 biometric dimensions, and standard mathematical routines), the tools and materials are provided for general educational, productivity, and document preparation purposes only.

LocalDoc does not provide formal legal discovery counsel, certified land surveying accreditation, or official visa issuance guarantees. Users must verify government portal guidelines, court rules, and jurisdictional filing requirements independently.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform, tools, scripts, and articles are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LocalDoc disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• Warranties that the tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every browser version or hardware specification.
• Warranties concerning the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of mathematical calculations or format conversions performed on corrupted or non-standard source documents.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall LocalDoc, its creators, contributors, or infrastructure providers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including, without limitation, loss of data, business interruption, loss of profits, device failure, or memory exhaustion) arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the Platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LocalDoc, its founder, contributors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms of Service or your unauthorized use of the Platform.

10. Third-Party Links & Non-Intrusive Advertising

LocalDoc may include hyperlinks to third-party resources, technical specifications, and official standards organizations. We have no control over the content, terms, or privacy policies of third-party websites. To support ongoing server hosting and engineering development while maintaining free access, non-intrusive advertisements may appear on editorial documentation pages in strict compliance with Google AdSense standards.

11. Termination & Suspension of Access

We reserve the right, without prior notice or liability, to suspend, throttle, or restrict access to the Platform for any user or automated client engaging in abusive request patterns, malicious exploitation, or violations of these Terms.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service periodically to reflect platform enhancements, legal compliance mandates, or updated security architectures. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated "Effective Date". Continued use of the Platform following such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, submitted to the competent courts of Islamabad, Pakistan.
